They add bonuses to your stats, and putting them in combinations is surprisingly fun. You also have your amulet, where you can place different amulets that you find in your travels. The dialogue system is fairly standard, you have your regular charm, intuition and intimidation which can influence the outcome of the conversation. The actual combat consists of clicking a button until your hand is transformed into a giant blister. You do have a lot of different style, but you'll quickly find that some are far more useful than others and stick to them. The weakest part of the game is without doubt the combat system. This all works well, but it doesn't feel daring in any way, they just changed the names. These bars are replenished when you pick up the power-ups that hang in the air above a recently vanquished foe, and also when you use the different fonts that are found throughout the game. The last, focus, is used when you use weapons. Chi is used to replenish health and is also consumed when you enter one of the demon forms.
